Anat Ben-David is a senior lecturer in the department of Sociology, Political Science and Communication at the Open University of Israel. As an Internet researcher, her work focuses on the intersection between digital media, politics and history. In 2015, she co-founded the Open University’s Open Media Information Lab, which specializes in developing computational methods and open-access tools for the social and historical study of the web. Ben-David is also a member of the Privacy Protection Council at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
